2016-2018

Missouri State Representative Brandon Ellington (D-Kansas City) introduced an assisted dying bill, HB 1790, the Missouri Death with Dignity Act, on January 3, 2018. The bill did not advance from the Health and Mental Health Policy Committee.

In 2017, Missouri State Representative Brandon Ellington (D-Kansas City) introduced an assisted dying bill, HB 524, the Missouri Death with Dignity Act, on January 9. On March 8, Missouri State Representative Steven Roberts (D-077) introduced a separate Death with Dignity bill, HB 1222, which was referred to the Select Committee on Local, State, Federal Relations and Miscellaneous Business on May 15, 2017.

In 2016, Missouri State Representative Kimberly Gardner (D-St.Louis) sponsored HB 1919, Missouri Death with Dignity Act. The bill did not make it on the House calendar for committee hearings and failed to move forward.
