We’re in the midst of another big year in the death with dignity movement: One in five Americans now have access to the death with dignity option at the end of life.
We’re making progress around the country. And when you make a contribution in the month of April, you have an opportunity to help accomplish three times as much.
Here’s the latest from the front lines of the death with dignity movement:
- New Jersey is poised to join seven other states and our nation’s capital in having an aid-in-dying law after legislators passed the Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act in March. The state’s governor, Phil Murphy, has said he will sign it into law.
- Our long-time efforts are closer to fruition than ever in Maine and Nevada. We are working with our grassroots partners at Maine Death with Dignity and the local advocates who are leading the charge for policy reform in the Pine Tree State. In early 2019, we formed the Nevada Coalition for Death with Dignity with state-based organizations, and continue to work with State Senator David Parks to advance a death with dignity bill this year.
- Last year, California’s End of Life Option Act withstood a frivolous legal challenge and continues to provide peace of mind to terminally ill Californians.
This steady progress is made possible by our generous supporters. One such donor has stepped up and pledged to match all gifts from new donors three to one. For every dollar you give as part of your first donation to us in the month of April, a generous anonymous donor will give three.
Will you give today and triple your gift?
$3 | $5 | $10 | $15 |
There has never been a better time to donate. This month only, a generous supporter will triple match all gifts from new donors up to $30,000.
