In the week from January 11 to January 18, 2016 (including MLK, Jr. Day):
- A big debate event took place in Alaska about the proposed Death with Dignity bill.
- Advocates in New York lobbied state legislators to pass one of the pending bills.
- In New Jersey, the Death with Dignity bill passed in the Assembly in November 2013, did not come up for a vote in the Senate. S 382 is thus effectively dead.
