- The most important event in the history of the Death with Dignity movement since Vermont’s passage of Act 39 took place when both the California Assembly and Senate approved the End of Life Option Act, the former on a 42 to 33 vote, the latter on a 23 to 14 vote. The bill is now on Governor Brown’s desk.
