Death with Dignity-Albany is an Albany, New York-based volunteer-run grassroots group established in 2015 whose mission is to provide a forum for education, discussion and advocacy related to death with dignity and end-of-life issues, reflecting the belief that everyone deserves to have a dignified, peaceful death.
Programs to educate and inform members and supporters about the important work of passing end-of-life option legislation in New York state are a top priority. Through facilitated conversations in small groups, Death with Dignity-Albany provides opportunities for conversation and dialog in a psychologically safe and supportive environment.
Meetings are free and open to the public. They typically feature guest speakers with expertise in legal, ethical, social and legislative aspects of end of life matters. Meetings also give participants the opportunity to meet others who share their own convictions, thoughts, and concerns.
