Note: On page 4 we state that 70 million Americans now have access to death with dignity. The figure includes the residents of New Jersey, who won the right to die using the Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act after Governor Murphy signed it on April 12 and it went in effect on August 1, 2019; the law was challenged in court and, while the law remains in effect, litigation is pending.
